The Paralegal is an entry level position in the Legal Services job family and usually operates at a local or country level. They would be required to work in collaboration with country, regional, business and service units.

The primary responsibility of the Paralegal is to enhance the effectiveness of the Legal Services team through the provision of general legal support to business and service units and Legal Services colleagues. They coordinate internal contractual projects, provide general assistance with litigation, prepare briefs for counsel and external attorneys and assist with administrative duties.

What you'll be doing


Perform contract administration

Paralegals prepare contract and other legal documentation for review by the Legal Services team ensuring compliance with Dimension Data’s policies and procedures and applicable laws. They liaise with vendors/contractors, clients and their Legal Services team where and when necessary to assist in concluding contracts. These individuals may also provide support for negotiations and closure of services contracts based on acceptable risk and in accordance with Dimension Data policies and applicable laws. They keep all stakeholders abreast of all relevant contractual changes, updates or risks.


Conduct research and analysis

They research and analyse the implications of case law, legislation and regulatory matters that affect the company and provide feedback to the Legal Services team. The Paralegal provides research on issues involving company compliance with governmental and regulatory standards ensuring appropriate laws, judicial decisions, legal articles and other materials that are relevant to the assigned matter is taken into account. They co-ordinate and organise research for access by the Legal Services team and other stakeholders. Paralegals also analyse and summarise research information and prepare written reports and briefs.


Co-ordinate projects

The Paralegal provides input to and assists with carrying out of legal and contractual projects within forecasted deadlines. They follow up where necessary ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget.


Manage receipt, delivery and accessibility of legal documents

The Paralegal attends to all correspondence and/or emails received on a daily basis. They co-ordinate formal delivery of legal documents to affected persons. They organise and track files of all legal and other relevant documents and make them available and easily accessible to the Legal Services team. They also ensure the co-ordination and management of document production and storage.


Ensure accuracy of information

The Paralegal ensures that all relevant information regarding legal matters is accurate and kept up to date. They perform due diligence investigations to ensure that all relevant documentation is indexed, allocated and reviewed. They manage the document flow, analyse documents and determine how they should be dealt with and who they should be referred to.


They develop easy to use systems to manage legal documentation and maintain databases with accurate information.


Perform general administration

Paralegals perform general administrative tasks including creating and filing documents, setting up appointments and interacting with clients and attorneys.

They have well developed attention to detail and display high levels of integrity and professionalism. They are proactive in their approach and have a good understanding of the business.

In this position you will be required to:

Co-ordinate legal and contractual projects ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget. Manage the receipt, delivery and accessibility of legal documents. Develop systems to manage legal documentation, ensures accuracy of information and allows due diligence. Perform general administrative tasks to ensure Legal Services function effectively.

A relevant Paralegal qualification in Business Law (Contract Law, Corporate Law, Labour Law)


Experience

At least 2 – 3 years' experience in a similar role (commercial or legal) within a global organisation At least 2 years’ working experience drafting, reviewing and managing commercial contracts Experience working within a global environment and co-ordinating information across multiple regions Knowledge and experience in key legal trends that impact

Possess good knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs Possess good knowledge of legal principles, practices and terminology Possess good knowledge of legal research techniques Demonstrate good legal writing skills Demonstrate high levels of integrity and professionalism Possess good commercial acumen Demonstrate a proactive approach with excellent attention to detail, planning and organising skills

The Support Quality Specialist is an entry level position in the Quality Management job family and he/she assists with the provision and maintenance of a system for quality and inspection to both Dimension Data and their clients. Operating in low complexity environments, they assist with ensuring that quality operations supporting product release are efficient, effective and meet target time frames from a legislative, client and business perspective.

What you'll be doing


Contribute to the management of specifications

The Support Quality Specialist assists with the evaluation of product sample for conformance to the required specifications. In so doing, they assist with analysing and interpreting product specifications and ensuring that changes and deviations from the original product specifications are managed in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant quality policies and procedures.


Contribute to the coordination of site inspections

Support Quality Specialists assist with site project and improvement efforts. They assist with the planning of site inspections and under the guidance of the Quality Specialists and will conduct these site inspections according to the plan utilising the relevant tools. Whilst conducting the site inspection, the Support Quality Specialist assists with troubleshooting and fault finding. They liaise with the relevant stakeholders to ensure problem resolution, compliance to site specifications, company and legislative requirements and will escalate complex issues.


Database management

This individual utilises documentation relevant to the product’s test results, including information on non-conforming products and services, incorporating these in the corrective action database. He/she may assist with the approval of non-conformances and corrective actions or preventative actions. They monitor the relevance of the database and keeps the information current and up to date. They apply the statistical process control methods for analysing data to evaluate current processes and ensure process changes as required.


Documentation management

He/she assists with the implementation of a random hazardous identification risk analysis. Once the analysis has been completed, they document their findings and produce and distribute a risk assessment to the relevant stakeholders.


Behavioural skills

These individuals are able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and require good client and vendor engagement skills. They display good verbal and written communication skills and have problem analysis and resolution ability. They are proactive in their approach and contribute to the success of the team.
